WORKING GROUPS

Policy Working Group

Responsibilities

• Approving and finalizing representations and petitions that will be submitted by NSEFI to central and state ministries, CERC, SERC’s, Utilities & other relevant stakeholders.
• Finalizing NSEFI’s official stand on all matters related to solar policy in India.
• Examining all representation/petition requests that NSEFI secretariat receives and approve them in a time bound manner.
• Convening all policy/regulatory related meetings internally, with NSEFI partners and stakeholders.

Solar & Storage Working Group

Responsibilities

• Closely working with both state and central government on RE-Hybrid and Solar+ storage policies and advocating cohesive policy measures in the interest of the industry and the country.
• Appropriate inputs and suggestions to draft policies on manufacturing and implementation.
• Interacting and working hand-in-hand with POSOCO, CEA, CERC, MNRE, SECI, MoP and other appropriate central government bodies.

Green Hydrogen Working Group

Responsibilities

This working group will be single point of contact for all policy matters related to green hydrogen. The objectives of NGHCI are as follows:

• To act as single point of contact for Green Hydrogen industry’s policy advocacy in India and work hand-in-hand with Government of India, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Power, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and waterways, Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Ministry of Steel, Textiles, Chemicals and Fertilizers and other relevant ministries for achieving India’s Green Hydrogen targets.
• To interact, sensitize, establish relations with consumers of Green Hydrogen that will promote Green Hydrogen proliferation.

Responsibilities

• Review periodically policy changes, schemes implementation, and manufacturing engineering improvement programs.
• Advocating policy/regulatory changes to Central and State Ministries, CERC, SERC’s, And other relevant stakeholders.

Rooftop Committee

Responsibilities

• Convening all policy/regulatory related meetings of Rooftop internally, and with NSEFI partners and stakeholders.
• Recommending policy changes concerning the sector, that will be submitted by NSEFI to Central and State Ministries, CERC, SERC’s, Utilities & other relevant stakeholders.
• Review periodically technology, product, operations and implementation improvement programs for Rooftop in India.
