Roundtable Discussion on Accelerating Rooftop Solar and Agricultural Solarization in Chhattisgarh
NSEFI - National Solar Energy Federation of India had the privilege of convening a high-impact roundtable discussion in Raipur on accelerating rooftop solar and agricultural solarization in Chhattisgarh. The deliberations focused on the growth of renewable energy in the state and its alignment with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision for 2047. The roundtable brought together key voices from the sector. Shri Suman Kumar, VC - NSEFI - National Solar Energy Federation of India, shared his perspective on how Chhattisgarh can emerge as a frontrunner in the renewable energy transition. Shri RAJESH KUMAR SHUKLA, Managing Director of CHHATTISGARH STATE POWER TRANSMISSION COMPANY LIMITED, spoke about the importance of strengthening transmission infrastructure to support the growth of clean energy. Shri Bhim Singh Kanwar, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL), highlighted the role of distribution companies in enabling rooftop solar and agricultural solarization at scale. Shri Sanjeev Kumar Katiyar, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL), emphasized the opportunities for generation companies in integrating renewables into the state’s energy mix. Shri Bimbisar Nagarjun, Superintendent Engineer, Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL), added valuable insights on creating a supportive ecosystem for consumers and farmers to embrace solar energy.
