The Japan–India Solar Cell Manufacturing Workshop & B2B Session, co-organised by NSEFI - National Solar Energy Federation of India, JETRO - Japan External Trade Organization, and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, was successfully held on 19 January 2026 in Mumbai, reaffirming the growing depth of India–Japan diplomatic and economic relations. Rooted in shared values of trust, innovation, and economic security, the event highlighted how solar manufacturing has emerged as a key pillar of the India–Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership. With strong participation from government leaders, industry experts, financial institutions, and technology providers, the discussions focused on strengthening resilient solar supply chains, advancing high-quality manufacturing in India, and fostering long-term public–private collaboration. Aligned with the Japan-India Economic Security Initiative, the workshop underscored a joint commitment to sustainable development, clean energy transition, and mutual growth, leveraging Japanese technological excellence and India’s manufacturing scale to build a secure, future-ready solar ecosystem for both nations.
