Jharkhand State Kick-off Workshop on PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana & PM KUSUM
NSEFI - National Solar Energy Federation of India conducted the Jharkhand State Kick-off Workshop on PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana & PM KUSUM on 21 August 2026 in Ranchi, bringing together key stakeholders from the solar ecosystem, including civil society organisations, research institutes, think tanks, solar vendors, installers, manufacturers and other industry stakeholders. The discussions focused on the ground realities of implementing PM-KUSUM particularly Component B from farmer awareness and participation to financing and loan disbursement, administrative and regulatory clearances, and last-mile implementation. The potential of agrivoltaics in Jharkhand and the need for community-led models to accelerate solarisation of agriculture were also explored.
