Catalyzing the Financing for the Adoption of Solar Energy
NSEFI - National Solar Energy Federation of India, USIBC - US India Business Council) & HSBC India came together to host a landmark event on "Catalyzing the Financing for the Adoption of Solar Energy". The event focused on supporting companies' adoption of solar energy in the manufacturing sector. The event brought together industry experts, policymakers, and financial institutions for a holistic discussion on addressing the opportunities in solar financing and at-scale deployment in India, including innovative financing models and risk mitigation strategies. Key members from NSEFI, including representatives, Mr. Chellappan Rama (SWELECT Energy Systems Ltd), Chair of NSEFI Tamil Nadu State Task Force and Mr. Kalpesh Kumar (Refex Group), Chair- NSEFI Bio Energy Committee emphasized that capacity building for advanced technological and digital systems is crucial for the swift deployment of solar energy and ensuring grid stability. They highlighted that achieving India's ambitious goal of 500 GW of solar power by 2030 requires a synergistic approach that combines a coherent policy and regulatory framework with a robust financial ecosystem capable of supporting large-scale solar deployment.
