India with fifth largest solar power utilization globally has already installed a enticing capacity of 39000+ MW till February 2021. Additionally, solar energy has surpassed wind energy production, which is a massive milestone for the country. India envisions an ambitious target to achieve 100 GW worth of solar energy by the end of 2022, which expands to 300 GW by 2030. The Government of India is pushing India towards these targets by implementing schemes like Production-linked scheme in manufacturing, KUSUM, DCR, AJAY and many more. India is also focusing on solar cell and module manufacturing for PM Modi's vision of the Aatmanirbhar solar industry, which will directly aid its solar capacity expansion. Currently, India has around 3 GW/year of installed solar PV cells capacity and 10 GW/year for solar modules manufacturing.
